The concept of the conference comes from the research and art practise of dr Przemek Danowski, assistant professor at the Sound Engineering Department of Chopin University of Music.
The conference aims to integrate the international community of researchers and practitioners working with sound in virtual environments, including but not limited to computer game engines. The conference consists of lectures and presentations of works by people coming from different backgrounds and dealing with various aspects of working with sound in digital and virtual environments, as well as those studying virtual environments from the cultural studies side.
The conference is organized within the framework of the project entitled: "Chopin's Achievement of Science", accepted for funding through a competition for the implementation of projects under the program called "Excellent Science II" announced by the Minister of Education and Science dated January 31, 2023 on the establishment of the program and the call for proposals, pursuant to Article 376(1) and (2)(1) of the Act of July 20, 2018. - Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 742, as amended).
